I start with an artisan bread of choice found in the bakery department of my supermarket. There are so many to choose from. One of my favorites is Kalamata Olive. Other favorites include asiago cheese, and rosemary and sea salt. While lightly toasting a ½-¾ inch thick bread slice, I smash up several tablespoons of ripe avocado or thin slice about a quarter of an avocado. Next, I choose what base ingredients I want to add, then I top with a layer of sprouts or microgreens. Lastly, I finish each slice with a sprinkle of flavor with infused sea salt and sometimes toasted seeds or nuts. These recipes are sinfully simple to make and sinfully delicious to eat!
